Thatcher Avenue Storage – Commercial Storage Facility
The client needed a comprehensive security solution to protect six large storage buildings—spanning more than 1,000 linear feet—and surrounding open areas used for storing recreational vehicles, boats, and commercial trucks. Achieving complete coverage with the right camera angles was critical, particularly given the mix of building layouts and open-air storage zones. Adding to the challenge, most areas of the property lacked available power, making traditional wired camera solutions impractical.
J&J Security Solutions designed and implemented a comprehensive network of WiFi access points to distribute edge-based wireless connectivity to more than 30 commercial-grade security cameras throughout the property. Each camera location was strategically planned to ensure full perimeter and open-area coverage with no blind spots.
To address the lack of on-site power in most areas, every camera was equipped with a dedicated solar power system paired with battery backup, ensuring 24/7 operation regardless of weather or daylight conditions. This design allowed for complete end-to-end monitoring without the need for costly trenching or electrical infrastructure upgrades.
